First day in Aceh

As my aircraft landed in Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport in Banda Aceh at 16.50 PM, this is my first day in Aceh. I will be joined Habitat For Humanity for one year. My assignment is for Operations Manager for Habitat For Humanity Indonesia (HFHI)for Aceh Tsunami Disaster Response Project. I will be in charge for all their service area. And that will be in Banda Aceh, Sigli, Meulaboh and West Coast. HFHI planned to build 10.000 houses in those areas.

I believe there is a very big opportunity, and responsibility. Hopefully with help of God I will be able to accomplish the job.

Disaster Management which includes Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Response program and team deployment. The service for Disaster Response team encompasses recruiting, set up project management team, support, monitoring and program evaluation.

Program evaluation services for ongoing Relief and Disaster Response works. The evaluation covers rehabilitation and reconstruction of shelter and public facilities.
